About us – Hospiss LV is charity organisation who gives practical help for patients at the last phase of their lives.
We received European Citizens’ Prize 2022 award for our pilot project for hospice care in the patient’s home.
This project also shoved how crucial it is to find help and peace also for incurable ill people, who cant accept help at home for one or another reason.
Our Mission – giving people the freedom to choose how to spend their lives final chords.
Our Objective – create the first hospice care home in Latvia, where patients can spend the last days of their lives with dignity, if this is not possible at home
Campaign goal is to rise funds for eight hospice care houses (8 x 96.800 EUR incl. VAT) and one staff house (145.200 EUR incl. VAT)

Who is Kārlis?
On 31 December 2021, Karlis started a journey across the Indian Ocean in his rowing boat. The aim of the trip is to collect donations for the first hospice house in Latvia.
Kārlis goal is to travel around the world by human power only – on foot, by bicycle and by rowing boat collecting donations for the first hospice house in Latvia. In June, Karlis finished his row unplanned on the coast of Somalia and now he is back on track!
Rowing boat captain Kārlis Bardelis – the first person in the world to row across the Pacific Ocean from South America to Asia.
Adventurer, several Guinness world record holder and enjoyer of life, a member of the HOPISS LV friend club and their ambassador to the world.
